Tapersawn Shakes

Lengths 18” and 24”. Shakes will be random widths with a minimum thickness of 3-1/2”. No more than 5% of each bundle can be less than 4” wide. Thickness options are 5/8” or 3/4”. 100% clear face. Available in premium grade and #1 grade. Available in treated or natural.

Lengths 18” and 24”; 4” minimum width; Thickness – ½” “medium” and ¾” “heavy”. Grades – Premium – Clear heartwood; 100% edge grain; no defects, #1 – Clear heartwood; 20% maximum flat grain in each bundle. Available in treated or natural.

Perfection Shingles

Lengths – 16” (Fivex), 18” (Perfection)***most common***, 24” (Royal); width 4” minimum on 24” and 3” on 16” and 18”; Thickness is 5/2” (5 butts together measures 2” thick – approximately 3/8”)
#1 Grade – 100% edge grain; no defects
#2 grade – Face must be 10”, 11” and 16” clear or better on 16”, 18” and 24” shingles respectively. Limited flat grain should be present. Limited knots and defects are allowed ABOVE the clear portion
Uses
#1 grade – Roofing (3/12 or steeper) or sidewall applications – available in treated or natural
#2 grade – Sidewall, Starter course – Available in treated or natural
